4 houses were burnt due to fire in two villages of Madhyabindu Municipality. The fire that entered the village on Monday afternoon destroyed the buffaloes and goats of the villages on the banks of the Surkha forest.
The police informed that 4 houses were burnt down when the forest of Chanoute and Surkha of Madhyabindu Municipality Ward No. 14 entered the forest.
According to District Police Office Kawasoti, a two-story mud house of Nawalsingh Dhenga, a resident near the forest towards Chanoute, a two-storied house covered with mud and zinc, a pigsty, clothes, utensils and cash worth one and a half lakh rupees have been destroyed by fire. 3 other houses and sheds of his neighbors have been burnt.
Ganga Prasad Ghimire, a teacher of Shree Gyanjyoti School, was slightly injured while fighting the fire. The fire was brought under control by the efforts of local residents and security personnel. Madhyabindu municipality and Binayi Triveni village area of East Nawalparasi are worried about the forest fires. The local residents have become alarmed by Dadelo coming near the settlement.
