The police have arrested a person from the hotel of Bhedetar Bazar located in Sangurigarhi Rural Municipality 6 of Dhankuta on the charge of forcing Kishari. Police said that the arrested person is 51-year-old Pravin Agarwal of Biratnagar Metropolitan City 11.
According to the police, the 15-year-old girl, who was originally from Siraha and was currently staying at a relative's house in Sunsari's Itahari, was taken to a hotel in Bhedetar and raped on Sunday.
"The accused was immediately arrested after the complaint of extortion," said Hom Prasad Adhikari, police inspector of the district police office. It is mentioned in the complaint that the girl was raped by telephonic contact and lured by buying chocolates and food. The police have started further investigation into the incident. The official said that the process has been started in the district court for legal action against the arrested Agarwal.
