A special leader of the people

Rupchandra Bishta (Taha) used to say, "Workers' politics should not be done by the capitalists, Chadro's politics should not be done by the court, Mohi's politics should not be done by Talsing, Women's politics should not be done by men".
Bista used to say, 'To know poverty, you have to love the poor.' But today the situation is not like that, the leaders do not reach remote settlements. Even if they arrive, they stay at a well-equipped hotel or with a worker.

Rupchandra Bishta (Taha) organized a meeting in 2042 in the remote Raksirang rural municipality-4 Chainpur of Makwanpur. He called one person to the front after greeting the crowd present in the meeting. The fourth, a man wearing only a loincloth, carrying a bag full of bags, hesitatingly stepped forward. When Bista made him the president, he looked panicky.

A special leader of the people

He declared that the meeting, which lasted for about one and a half hours, was over. He was — Maite Chepang. After that day, he not only became a preacher of the village awareness campaign, but also started speaking against injustice and oppression. Chepang is no longer alive, but his contribution to the revival of Chepang in the area is still talked about. During the election of the year 2038, Bishta had reached Bhavar of Sarikhet village while visiting the village. There he helped a Tamangani sister to carry manure. Didi roasted corn and fed it, she carried 20 heads of manure. Bishta said to the locals gathered in Bhavar at that time, 'She roasted corn and fed me, I carried manure and it was equal.'

The memory of Bista is fresh in the mind of the leader of Chepang Basti of Makwanpur. When they meet a new person, they talk a lot about it, they say they are very impressed by him. In the language of Govindram Chepang, who also became a member of the Constituent Assembly, "Bista is a hockey leader who does not have greed, sin and does not talk nonsense". He is trained from the ground up. While visiting the Chepang village, Bista stayed with the poorest of the slums. He used to say, 'To know poverty, you have to love the poor'. But today the situation is not like that, the leaders do not reach remote settlements. Even if they arrive, they stay at a well-equipped hotel or with a worker. According to Hetaunda intellectual Dev Prasad Shrestha, he is a person who has both speech and action. He did what he said. Residents of this region do not think anyone is as good a leader as Bishta. Those who know him, listen to him, read him and walk with him, say that the country has not yet found a revolutionary leader like him. He was able to give a new message to the troubled country based on his thoughts, thinking and working style. In his district, he put the idea into practice.

is an evolved form of thinking and thinking, the present-day Thaha Municipality. He wanted to make the residents of this place intellectually sound, not only physically healthy, but financially and educationally strong. Gamblers were severely punished in this area. Gamblers had their share after Bishta. The fake fatahas and anti-socials of the village could not stand together in front of him. He is not only a warrior who is fighting against injustice and tyranny for the rest of his life, but also a conductor of social change. Akkal Bahadur likes to call KC Bista an 'organic leader'. He remembers selling leaflets, not taking out posters and contesting elections on the strength of the people. Those who burn in the fire of revolution for the sake of public interest are rarely born by weighing the principles against the people's words, behavior and thoughts. Some are so great, their history cannot be erased by conspiracy or even by itself. Similarly, Bista is a revolutionary era man. It has been two and a half decades since Bishta passed away. He passed away on June 7, 2056 at Bir Hospital in Kathmandu. It is in his memory that 6 villages were merged and declared as Thaha municipality. The municipality has given a public holiday on June 7 on the occasion of his birth anniversary.

Bishta is remembered by everyone who went to the homes of Makwanpur residents to wake up the hungry, the naked and the oppressed in the society. The seeds of awareness he sowed are now sprouting. In this changed state, the whole country is waiting for the next Rup Chandra Bishta. Physically strong arms and tall stature, he was equally strong in faith and integrity. His ideals, lifestyle and behavior may seem like a myth to today's teenagers and young adults. Because leaders and leaders of society are also like this and they have it in their mind. He said that labor politics should not be done by the capitalists, Chapro politics should not be done by the palace, Mohi politics should not be done by Talsing, Women's politics should not be done by men. He used to translate the words of Marxism into the vernacular and explain it to the villagers. Bista, who carried the concept that 'we are not of anyone, no one is ours, we belong to truth and justice, truth and justice are ours', never bowed down to the enemies of the people. He used to sarcastically say against those who harmed money, position and caste, "There is no truth from money, justice from position and public interest from caste."

The main essence of the 'Know' movement he led in the early thirties was the practice of unbiased activism. He argued that it would be difficult to remain active after becoming impartial. He used to say that it is easy and simple to act as a party, but it leads to loss of conscience. He did not belong to any party and behaved impartially, free from bias and bias. He is a philosopher, thinker and social reformer rather than a politician who treats everyone equally. The pamphlet he published is an example of this. In 2038 and 2043, he represented the then Rashtriya Panchayat from Makwanpur and sold leaflets during the elections. The agitating forces of 2046 could not do justice to Bista who made the soil of Makwanpur a fertile ground for progressive politics and did politics of loyalty. As a result, his awakening campaign was hampered.

Bishta, who was born on 26th of January 1990 in Ghartikhola (currently Thaha Municipality-3) of then Shikharkot VDC, started the campaign of social reform from Daman-Palung. His ideas, thoughts and ideal behavior should not be imprisoned in the circle of any political philosophy. He fought for truth and justice as long as he lived. If only a small percentage of the country's leaders could adopt his ideal character, the people would be able to feel the change.
