Examination Control Office Class 10 is going to conduct the grade enhancement examination of SEE from 23rd to 31st July. Nandlal Poudel, Controller of Examinations said that the National Examination Board meeting held on Sunday decided to move the examination date.

SEE grade enhancement exam from July 23

Earlier, the board had announced that the grade enhancement examination of the students who were in non-grading (NG) up to two subjects would be held on July 18 and 19. But after the Ministry of Education decided to make all the students who were not graded to participate in the grade increase exam, the board will conduct the exam from July 23 across the country . Controller Paudel said that the exam has been postponed for a few days for preparation.

Last Thursday, 242,313 students were ineligible for admission to class 11 due to non-grading (failure) in the public SEE results. Out of 464,785 students who participated in the examination, 52 percent of the students were criticized for failing. In the Letter Grading Guide 2078, it is mentioned that only students who are non-grading up to two subjects will be given a chance to participate in the grade increase exam.

However, after the Minister of Education Sumana Shrestha decided to give chance exams even if they are non-grading in all 7 subjects, the Curriculum Development Center has changed the arrangement of the guidelines. According to the previous arrangement, only 1 lakh 15 thousand 834 people who had non-grading up to two subjects would be able to participate in the grade increase exam .

The enrollment of successful students in SEE has started . Teaching will also start from July 15. The officials of the board have estimated that there will be a lot of delay in teaching when the results of the students participating in the grade increase are announced by the end of July. They estimate that it will take at least 3 months to conduct the examination of nearly two and a half lakh students and publish the results. According to

estimates, the results will be published only in the last week of October and the students who have been able to increase their grades will be able to enroll in Class 11 only after Dasain, Tihar and other festivals. It is estimated that the academic session itself will be affected. The board has fixed the calendar for the annual examination of the students who are currently enrolled in class 11 to be conducted in Baisakh/May.

The Ministry of Education has said that preparatory classes will be conducted by Nepal Television and Radio Nepal for the students who will participate in the chance examination. Similarly, the Education and Human Resource Development Center has been instructed to facilitate the conduct of classes in schools. Under the direction of Education Minister Shrestha, Tribhuvan University has also issued a circular to the campuses for students studying in higher education to participate in SEE preparation classes. Rector Khadge KC has instructed the students who are studying at undergraduate and postgraduate levels to mobilize the students who are preparing for SEE for learning facilitation.

Under the 'Saathi Shikai Program' included in the budget of the Ministry of Education, it is said that students of higher education will be tutored in mathematics, English, science, social and Nepali subjects . Most students of public schools have failed in mathematics, science and English subjects and students of private schools have failed in social and Nepali subjects . 1 lakh 77 thousand in mathematics, 1 lakh 26 thousand in science, 1 lakh in English are non-grading . Similarly, 73,000 students in social, 69/69,000 students in Nepali and economics are under non-grading.

In the letter grading system applicable since 2072, there was a provision for all students to be graded . But because of this, the culture of reading is disappearing among the students, the guidelines were revised in 2078 and it was arranged that students who do not get at least 35 percent marks in theoretical (written) will be ungraded . The written examination was conducted in 75 full marks of all subjects . In which students who cannot get 27 points are non-grading .
