After leaving London, the capital of Britain, Vinod Chipalu took a vow, "I will keep lakhs of dances alive in Britain as well." I will introduce Nepal through lakhs of dances.'' His determination did not waver in the open environment of Britain, nor in busyness. While this traditional dance is in crisis due to the influence of modernity in Nepal, Chipalu is being performed in millions of dances on every stage from Britain to Europe.

After Dhime Baja, another characteristic of the Newar community, Lakhe Naach is the main attraction of Indrajatra, the main festival of Kathmandu. Chipalu believes that Lache Naach is not only entertainment but also reflects the beliefs and traditional culture of the Newar community. As soon as Lakhe Naach is uttered in the British Nepali diaspora, the only name that comes to mind is Vinod Chipalu.

'My salary is not so much. My only aim is to introduce the country," Chipalu said to Kantipur, "I will do it especially in programs to introduce Nepal. Wherever I find it, I don't wear leather shoes, I dance with purity.' Chipalu is not only a special festival or festival of the Newar community, but Chipalu is presented through lakhs of dances in festivals and events held by Nepali people here.

"Work and business are busy in Britain, but everything you want can be done," he says. He has mukhundo, clothes and jewelery brought from Nepal. He dances from his heart, forgetting everything when he starts dancing. He used to dance continuously for 10 minutes, but now he says that he can only dance for 4-5 minutes at most. A light rehearsal is enough for him before going on stage. After coming to UK, he has been performing Lakh Nach at Nepali Mela in Tamudhin UK, activities of Yati Nepali Association UK, Himalayan Yati, Pasa Puch: Guthi UK, the oldest Nepali organization in Europe.

Chipalu is now passing on this tradition to the second generation to mark the 25th anniversary of Lakh dancing in the UK. "I am going to hand it over to the generation born in Britain to inform them about their original art, culture and tradition and to keep it alive until later," he explained. He is preparing to organize a deep dance in London in the third week of August. At the same time, he said that lakhs of festivals will be held and handed over to the new generation.

Chipalu says that 10 incarnations of Gods and Goddesses like Ganesha, Bhairav, Manjushree, Kalinach, Tandap, Kumari, Velu etc. will be danced in the festival. Pasa Puch: Guthi UK and Inas UK are also supporting the festival. Charan Pradhan from Scotland, Yagyaman Shakya from America and Yogeshwar Amatya from Nepal are coming for this. Chipalu's idea is to make the program grand by inviting other artists from Nepal and British foreigners.

He learned to dance Lake when he was in Nepal. Chipalu used to teach this dance to students in 9 schools. Chipalu came to UK in 2000 to show art as an artist. His birthplace is Kathmandu Cantonment. He has been involved in the art field since the age of 15 and acted in many films and plays while in Nepal. After coming here, he has also composed music for the album song titled Dhiki Yaad Ayo.

He has been running the Mini Mart Milsa store in Plumstead for the past 12 years under his daughter's name. He said that he has expanded this business by investing 2.5 million pounds. He is also working on starting Milsa Topri restaurant soon. He has significant support from Mrs. Savina Shrestha Chipalu in business. Chipalu lives in London Bullbeach with a son, a daughter and his wife.
