A wide victory for Jhapa-11

Jhapa's Aditya Shakya, Pradeep Budhathoki, Babin Bohora, Ashish Chapagai and foreign player Mark Junior Rarison scored the goals in the last quarter-final held at the Domalal Rajvanshi Stadium in Birtamod.

Foreign player Oscar scored the consolation goal on behalf of Makwanpur . Jhapa took the lead in the first half. In the 25th minute, Jhapa's Aditya Shakya scored and gave the team the lead. In the pass received inside the box, Makwanpur's defender and goalkeeper were also beaten and charged at the goal post.

In the 66th minute, foreign player Mark Junior scored a goal and doubled Jhapa's lead. Dipesh Alemgar made a pass from the middle of the field and Mark scored without a mistake. Oscar, a foreign player from Makwanpur, scored a goal in the 69th minute and tried to bring the team back into the game. He scored a one-touch goal from Samiraj Thoker's pass.

Jhapa managed to score another goal in the 83rd minute. Substitute player Pradeep Budhathoki managed to score within 20 seconds of entering the field. Makwanpur goalkeeper Gopi Bertaula could not control the ball and Pradeep scored in one touch. Jhapa went on to score two more goals in injury time. Babin Bohora scored the fourth goal for Jhapa. Bobin turned the pass inside the box into a beautiful goal. Soon after, Ashish Chapagai added the fifth goal for Jhapa in the last minute of injury time. In the

game, despite Makwanpur's continuous efforts to score, Jhapa's goal post could not be attacked. Jhapa has managed to achieve a wide victory by making use of all the opportunities it has. In the 19th minute of the game, Jhapa lost the opportunity to take the lead. His foreign player Mark Junior could not score even when Makwanpur's goalkeeper Gopi was beaten. Makwanpur's defender went to clear the ball when the ball hit the empty post was loose.

In the 43rd minute, a short pass from Jhapa's Mark Junior was punched by Aditya's hard hitting goalkeeper Gopi and sent out. In the 47th minute, the strong shot by Mark Junior of Jhapa was controlled by the goalkeeper. In the 55th minute, Makwanpur's Oscar received a long pass and hit the ball with a cycling kick. In the 73rd minute, Makwanpur's Samiraj Thoker's strike could not be strong, but Jhapa's goalkeeper Sandeep Limbu easily controlled it.

Ashok Baral, coach of ANFA Makwanpur, said that the game was defeated by a big margin because they did not prepare well. He responded that it was unfortunate that the set team prepared for the Jhapa Gold Cup could not enter the field due to technical difficulties.

The coach of Jhapa-11, Angur Kumar Khadgi, said that the results were better than expected when the players played hard. He said that the home field and the support of the audience also encouraged the players and they managed to score consecutive goals in the second half. Aditya Shakya, the scorer of the winning team Jhapa-11, became the player of the match. He received Rs 11,000 in cash.

Besides, Shambhu Pokharel, resident of Birtamod, gave 10,000 cash and local Shiv Khatiwada a mobile phone to Aditya, who scored the first goal in Thursday's match. Gold Cup semi-final matches will start from Friday. In the first semi-final on Friday, two departmental teams will compete between Tribhuvan Army Club and Armed Police APF.
