Amrit Bahadur Budhamgar has won as the chairman of CPN UML Rolpa. He was elected as the president from the seventh district convention of UML Rolpa held at the headquarters Libang on February 29 and 30. He won by beating another competitor Ghanshyam Acharya by a margin of 83 votes.
Amrit got 195 votes for the post of president while his competitor Acharya got 112 votes. Earlier, Budhamar was the secretary. Vijay Ghartimagar was unanimously elected as the vice president. Vijay was the acting president earlier. Nep Bahadur Thapa defeated his competitor Thakur Wali by getting 182 votes for secretary. Wali received 112 votes.
Similarly, Bam Bahadur Pun won as deputy secretary by getting 172 votes. He defeated his rival Premraj Budha. Premraj got 80 votes. In the women's deputy secretary, Ramita Dangi won by getting 202 votes, while her competitor Krishna Gautam got 61 votes. Tara Sen, another candidate for women's deputy secretary, got 25 votes. Santosh Banthamgar, Kaman Singh Punamgar, Dhan Bahadur Basnet, Ramchandra Budhamgar and Parvir Vick were selected as members.
According to Chief Election Officer Balkrishna Acharya, a 75-member district working committee including a chairman, vice-chairman and one secretary and two deputy secretaries have been elected from the UML Rolpa convention. 381 delegates participated in the convention.
