Madhesh government minister Vechi Lungeli has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Labor and Transport. She reached the ministry on Thursday and took over the duties.
Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav made CPN United Samajwadi MP Lungeli a non-departmental minister eight days ago. He was given the responsibility of the Ministry of Labor and Transport on Thursday according to the discussion and agreement in the alliance.
Minister Lungeli while taking charge of the ministry said that since a large number of people from Madhesh go for foreign employment, she will focus on increasing their efficiency in a systematic, safe and skill-wise manner. Minister Lungeli was welcomed by Ministry Secretary Surendra Paudel.
With Lungeli getting the responsibility of the Ministry of Labor and Transport, the number of ministries that CPN Unified Samajwadi has got in the government of Madhesh Province has reached two. Earlier, Govind Neupane, the party leader of that party, has been the Minister of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives.
Bharat Prasad Sah, who was appointed as a non-divisional minister by the Maoist Center 8 days ago, has not yet been entrusted with the ministry. Chief Minister Yadav is ready to hand over the responsibility of the Ministry of Forest and Environment to Shah, who is with him, but he is adamant that he should get the Ministry of Finance. Currently Sanjay Kumar Yadav of Jaspa is Finance Minister.
