The UML and the Maoist Center, two components of the ruling coalition, have filed a resolution proposal in the Provincial Assembly Secretariat on Monday to remove the Chief Minister of Koshi Province. With these two parties withdrawing their support in the provincial assembly, Chief Minister Kedar Karki has fallen into the minority.

He UML Koshi Chief Whip Revathiraman Ghimire said that a resolution proposal has been registered in the State Assembly Secretariat to ask for a vote of confidence. The proponent of the

proposal is UML Chief Whip Bhandari, while the supporters include UML MP Kishore Chandra Dulal and Maoist Center MP Ganesh Upreti. It is mentioned in the proposal that Chief Minister Karki should take a vote of confidence within 25 Baisakh.

UML to form an alternative government under the leadership of parliamentary party leader Hikmat Karki is also proposed is mentioned. After the crisis started in Koshi, the state chief Parshuram Khapung has already called a special session on the 6th of Baisakh.
