Chairman of CPN-UML and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the people's multi-party democracy is not a means to fulfill their interests.
Addressing the Madan Bhandari National Award handing over program organized on the occasion of Madan Bhandari's 73rd birth anniversary at the UML Central Office Chasal on Friday, he said that when one's interests are fulfilled, there is a binding program, principle, guiding principle and there is no program if there is no self-interest.
He said, "The multi-party democracy of the people has continuously moved us forward in a more effective manner". The multi-party democracy of the people is guiding us. We are not lip service to the multi-party democracy of the people. Not to fulfill your own interests . A chance meeting is a job program, not a chance does not mean it is not. Our attitude towards Jawaj, our loyalty should not be this kind of opportunistic .'
He said that it was a policy taken by public leader Madan Bhandari for the welfare of the country.
