The police have arrested the absconding defendant in the case of transporting the khapata (Akhetopahar) of the protected wild animals and released it to the public on Sunday. The arrested person is Tasi Tamang, who lives in Sindhupalchok Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality-5 and lives in Gokarneshwar Municipality-4.
Tamang, who was absconding after being sentenced to 5 years imprisonment and a fine of 62 thousand rupees by the decision of Gaurishankar Conservation Area, Liaison Office Dolakha on 17th November 2070, was arrested by the police team deployed from the Central Bureau of Investigation on Friday from the bus park located in municipality-4 of Gokarneshwar. The police said that he was handed over to Gourishankar Conservation Area, Liaison Office Dolakha for necessary action.
