In Bhaktapur municipality-1 Ghlate on Saturday, a pedestrian was killed when a Sumo No. 13ch 2265 coming from Sallaghari towards Suryavinayak hit it.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajan Karki informed that 35-year-old Man Bahadur Gharti of Baglung Galkot Municipality-10, who was seriously injured in the accident, died while being taken to Bhaktapur Hospital for treatment.
The police arrested the vehicle that caused the accident and the driver, 54-year-old Madhukar KC, resident of Dhulikhel Municipality-9 of Kavrepalanchok, and started further investigation by taking the vehicle under the custody of the police circle, he said.
