Businessman Buddharaj Basnet has been elected as the president of the 11th session of the Sindhupalchok Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Basnet was elected by getting 904 votes in the election competition of the Chamber of Commerce on Sunday.
In the election held on Sunday, he defeated his opponent Suman Khatri, a businessman. Khatri got 684 votes and Shambhu Timalsina got 297 votes. Young businessmen Umesh Pradhan won by getting 811 votes as senior vice president of the association.
His nearest competitor Surya Bahadur Karki got 693 votes and Vidur Parajuli got 346 votes. In the second vice-president, Indra Bahadur Raut won by getting 1,52 votes, while his competitor Rajesh Shrestha got 797 votes. Members respectively Umesh Shrestha, Ashok Kumar Shrestha, Ganesh Nepal, Amber Bahadur Shrestha, Rajkumar Basnet, Suraj Timalsina, Kumar Thapa, Sushant Bhattarai, Prakash Paudel, Uddhav Timalsina, Manikalal Shrestha, Dava Galzen Sherpa, Ishwar Khatri and Dash Bahadur Rumba have been elected.

In which Ishwar Guvaju was elected as the general secretary, Bhesh Bahadur Basnet as the first vice president, Vichari Parajuli as the third vice president, Uddhav Paudel as the co-treasurer and Chameli Shrestha and Kalyani Ghising as members.
