Dhanusha and Bara clash in the final of the Mayor's Cup

The home team Dhanusha and Bara won the two semi-final matches on Friday and set their way to the finals. Dhanusha won the title of the first Mayor Cup while Bara became the runner-up.

In the first semi-final match, Dhanusha secured his place in the final by defeating Parsa by 5 runs, while Bara reached the final by defeating Sarlahi by 44 runs. Dhanusha won the toss and batted first. He presented a target of 98 runs against Parsa after losing 9 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. Simon Roy, who came as the last wicket for Dhanusha who had a bad start, scored 20 off 15 balls, Pashuram Yadav scored 15 runs and Vikrant Yadav scored 12 runs. Apart from these, none of Dhanusha's batsmen could score runs in double figures.

Dhanusha's experienced players Harishankar Sah, Himashu Dutt, Vishal Shushaling and Man Yadav also did not perform well in batting.

Samsad Mansuri and Nasrudin Ansari, who bowled for Parsa, took 3/3 wickets. The players of Parsa who got a 'low score' could score only 92 runs after losing 9 wickets in 20 overs by batting back. Parsa team lost two wickets for zero runs. For Parsa, Ranjan Yadav scored 37 not out in 39 balls and Sonu Sharma scored 25 runs.

Rupesh Yadav who bowled for Dhanusha took 3 wickets, Vishal Shushaling 2 and Vikrant Yadav also took 2 wickets. Dhanusha's Vishal Shushaling was declared the man of the match.

Similarly, in the second semi-final match on Friday, Sarlahi team won the toss and invited Bara to bat. Bara presented a target of 141 runs to Sarlahi after losing 7 wickets in the scheduled over. For him, Araniko Yadav scored 49 runs off 33 balls, Shahil Patel scored 17 runs and Nikesh Gupta scored 16 runs not out.

Chakraradhar Yadav, who bowled for Sarlahi, took 2 wickets, while Vishal Patel, Abhay Yadav, Gopikant Mukhia and Rahul Mahato took 1 wicket each.

The Sarlahi team, which came out to bat in response, could only score 96 runs in 15 overs 2 balls after losing all the wickets. Kaif Mikrani 17, Rahul Mahato 20 and Sanjeev Das scored 31 runs for Sarlahi.

Araniko Yadav, who bowled hard for Bara, spent 19 runs in 4 overs and took 4, Nikhil Singh 3 and Pawan Saraf took 2 wickets. Baraka Araniko Yadav was declared the man of the match of this match.

On Saturday, Dhanusha and Bara will compete for the title at Ramzan International Multipurpose Stadium from 9 am.
