Sri Lanka's Dhananjay de Silva and Kamindu Mendis put in a rare performance with the bat on the third day of the first Test against Bangladesh on Sunday. Both of them completed their second centuries in Tests.

Along with this, Sri Lanka has presented a seemingly impossible target of 511 runs to Bangladesh for victory. Sri Lanka has set up a big score of 418 runs.

In response, Bangladesh scored 47 runs for the loss of 5 wickets and is in a miserable position. Bangladesh is behind by 463 runs heading towards certain defeat.

The pair of De Silva and Mendez have become only the third pair to score hundreds in both innings of the same Test in Test history.

Earlier, Australian Chappell brothers Greg and Ian and Pakistan's Misbah-ul-Haqar Azhar Ali submitted such a rare batting example.
