Problems in treatment of women injured by stones

On Friday morning, she was injured by a falling stone while she was returning from the cow shed near the village. The injured Bohra was rescued by the locals and carried on a stretcher for the whole day and taken to the district hospital at the headquarters of Chainpur on Friday evening.

After the treatment was not possible in the district, the hospital referred him to Dhangadhi. He is now being treated at the trauma hospital in Kathmandu after he was not treated at the Dhangadhi hospital. If his leg is broken, the doctor has suggested that the leg should be amputated due to rupture of blood vessels and blood clots.

'We have now admitted to the trauma hospital emergency . So far, 60,000 loans have been paid," said Vir Bahadur Bohra, Punidevi's nephew, "The doctor has said that the leg should be amputated after an operation. We don't even have a single rupee for medicine . There is no condition to get a loan from anywhere.'

Punidevi's husband Jaydhan Bohra died five years ago. Now he has two sons aged nine and six. Punidevi, who was financially poor, had been taking care of her brother-in-law's four children by doing wage labour. Bohra said that his brother-in-law and his wife had also died.

'I was the one who saved everyone's life even though it was painful. This happened to me today,' Punidevi told Kantipur. She said that the doctor said that it would cost another three to four lakhs and that it was not possible for her to raise that amount.
