A soldier of the Nepalese army has died while fighting a fire in Dolpa.

DSP Harikrishna KC, Chief of District Police Office Humla, said that the deceased was Hemant Rawat, 24 years old from Tatopani Rural Municipality-4, Jumla, policeman of Devidatta Gulm. He said that he died during treatment at Dolpa Hospital.

4 soldiers of Devidatta Gulm were injured on Monday afternoon while controlling the fire in Mastabhavani Community Forest in Thulieveri Municipality-3 of the district. 2 injured were sent to Kathmandu by helicopter of the Nepali Army. The helicopter that came to take the other 2 people could not take off due to bad weather and they were being treated at the district hospital.

The fire that started on Sunday afternoon in the forest went out of control due to the strong wind. Due to the wind, the fire started again on Monday afternoon.
