The armed police have seized illegal goods worth more than 5 million from Bhairahwa in Rupandehi. Armed Police Force border monitoring team recovered the illegal goods on Sunday night.
Armed Police Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohan Neupane said that on the basis of a special information from the Nepal Intelligence Bureau, the goods brought from India to Nepal and stored in a bamboo enclosure were seized in Doghara area of Siddharthnagar Municipality-4. DSP Neupane said that 10,400 kg of onions worth Rs.
Similarly, a vehicle worth Rs 45 lakh and a bag sewing machine worth Rs 10 thousand were seized and goods worth Rs 533,000 were seized and sent to Bhairahawa Customs Office Belhia for necessary action, according to the police.
