The local level and various organizations have distributed relief materials to the fire victims of 6 Padari villages of Palhinandan Rural Municipality of West Nawalparasi.
On 7th Baisakh, 11 houses were destroyed by fire in Padri village. There is a situation where the victims have to seek refuge in their neighbor's house when even their crops and clothes are burnt. The rural municipality provided food materials for the immediate relief, but now the Red Cross and various organizations have helped with clothes, bedding and food.
Rajendra Agrahari, Chairman of District Red Cross Branch Parasi, said that along with food items, the victims have been provided with necessary Tripal, Kammal, Jhul, Lattapada, Vadakunda. Due to the fire, clothes and food were also destroyed, and the victim's family was devastated. Rural Municipality, Red Cross, Yuva Sangh and central member of Nepali Congress Devendraraj Kandel have also provided relief materials to the victims.
Fire incidents have increased in the district. In just one week, 16 kachi houses have been destroyed by fire in the district. The victim has demanded the help needed to build a house to live with food and clothes.
