Police Assistant Inspector Dinanath Prasad Yadav working at Police Station Santapur located in Chandrapur Municipality-8 has been accused of irregularity in various matters including the sale of wood in the office premises, the locals have demanded action along with investigation. After the locals put forward the demand, the district police office on Monday removed Yadav from the responsibility of the post and moved the district. The district police has also started an investigation on him.
Locals have demanded an investigation, alleging that Prasani Yadav, chief of police station Santapur under Chandranigahpur police station, has embezzled the old building of Saha Sanstha Limited.
The former mayor of Chandrapur Municipality, Ramchandra Chaudhary, who reached the police station, said that Asai Yadav had caused pain to the general public and that he had made wooden furniture and carried it away, so there should be an investigation. "Asai Yadav has acted beyond the limits of injustice," he said, "There should be investigation and punishment as he has done things that hurt the common people." Locals have accused Asai Yadav of threatening vegetable traders to extort money.
In the morning, former mayors, ward presidents and representatives of political parties arrived at the police station temporarily located in the building of Shared Cooperative Society Limited. Jitendra Chaudhary, President of Chandrapur Municipality-8, said that Asai Yadav made furniture from the wood of the organization and took it to his house several times and when he was about to take it for the last time, the local stopped him.
"Asai Yadab's extortion business has been neglected even when informed to the higher authorities," he said, "We have demanded action as we have taken wood and caused pain to many locals."
Asai Yadav said that after doing good work, he used to do various things. "I made furniture and built a house. But I did not make the furniture from the wood of the common organization," he said, "I bought the wood from the end and made the furniture. The wood is not sold. I have not hurt anyone.' DSP Eliza Giri of the district police informed that the investigation has been started after being relieved of responsibility. When the locals reached the police station, a team including Police Inspector Gayatri Sharma arrived from Ela police Chandranigahpur and assured investigation and action.
