Liladevi Gadtaula, the senior secretary of the Prime Minister's Office, has been given the responsibility of Acting Chief Secretary after the Chief Secretary Baikunth Aryal was suspended due to a corruption case. The authority had filed a case on Sunday saying that there was corruption in the printing of liquor excise stickers.
According to the performance rules of the government, if the chief secretary is vacant, there is a provision that the senior secretary will automatically take over.
