The Ministry of Youth and Sports has objected to 10 officials of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) going on a foreign tour.

ANFA directed to take action

According to the provisions of section 28 of the National Sports Development Act, 2077, the National Sports Council (Rakhep) must be approved, as ANFA has gone abroad without completing the process, the Ministry has instructed the Rakhep to take action against ANFA.

Nepal, which is preparing for World Cup qualification, is playing a friendly match against Malaysia on Chait 2. After that, the Nepali team will play two matches of 'home and away' against Bahrain on the 8th and 13th of Chait. 10 officials of ANFA along with the Nepali team have gone to Malaysia as 'officials' for that match.

Nepal is going to play home and away games in Bahrain after the Dasharath stadium in Tripureshwar got damaged. It is mentioned in the press release issued today by the Ministry of Youth and Sports that the Ministry of Home Affairs has been requested to provide foreign travel permission to the officials of sports associations to participate in international sports competitions, training, seminars, seminars or conferences only after the approval of the plan.
