CPN United Socialist Party has claimed that the vice president of the National Assembly should be given to his party. Samajwadi claimed to be the vice president of the National Assembly to strengthen cooperation in the alliance.
United Socialist Deputy General Secretary Prakash Jwala said that the National Assembly vice-president has claimed and other four parties are positive. We have said that our party should get the Vice President of the National Assembly. The five parties in the alliance are positive," he said. "There is no mention of the vice president in the statement of the five parties on Tuesday for consensus."
Before coming to the unified socialist government, UML had agreed to take the vice president. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and UML President KP Sharma Oli forcefully convinced United Socialist President Madhav Kumar Nepal to agree to participate in the coalition government.
Narayan Prasad Dahal, the candidate of the ruling coalition in the elections held on Tuesday, has been victorious as the Speaker of the National Assembly.
