Ghansingh's death was confirmed after one of his friends from Rolpa and another resident of Dang brought the news to his home that he had joined the Russian army through India three months ago. About a dozen young people from Nepal were preparing to undergo military training with him. One of his friends from Rolpa Libang and another youth living in Ghorahi of Dang, who is also a relative, told the news that they barely managed to survive but died after being attacked by Ghansingh.

Before his death, he said that he received a month's salary but could not send it home. During that period, he also said not to worry as he came to earn now. Dambar Pun, who is a cousin of Ghansingh, said that he reached Russia via Dubai via India last November. "There was information that he was planning to go abroad and earn money, but we are saddened to hear the news that he died after reaching Russia," he said. Dumbar said that he wanted to go abroad to earn money because he was in financial trouble, but he did not have the money to get there.

Ghansingh even took a loan of 11 lakh rupees to go to Russia. The family has requested the Nepalese government to bring the body of the deceased to Nepal and arrange compensation.

Before reaching Russia, he lived in Qatar for two years. After not earning as much as he wanted, he returned and ran a mobile shop in Dang. Before that, he also operated a mobile shop in Rolpa's Libang. His younger brother Kamal, who lost his parents at a young age, is in Khadi on foreign employment, while his wife is in Dang to educate two daughters and one son. Bhan Bahadur Ghartimagar, Ward President of Triveni Rural Municipality-7 said that after the incident, the house and the village were in mourning. He said that two youths from the ward who had gone to Russia illegally have returned.

Chief District Officer Parmanand Ghimire said that the data of those who have reached Russia or other illegal ways from the district should be collected . He said that he should be asked not to go to a country where the law does not allow him to go illegally and before he suffers.
