Civil Liberation Party has decided to support the current government in Sudurpaschim Province amid uncertainty whether it will survive or collapse. The meeting of the parliamentary party of the party on Sunday decided to support the Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah of the current Congress-led government.
Economic Affairs Minister Ghanshyam Chaudhary, who is also the leader of the party, said that although he gave a vote of confidence to the newly formed Pushpa Kamal Dahal government in the union, he said that he would exercise autonomy in the province. Five of the seven MPs of the party were present in the party meeting.
MP Kailash Chaudhary and Tika Thapa were absent from the meeting. Even though MP Kailash Chaudhary has been saying that he will not give a vote of confidence, the leader of the party Chaudhary has said that he will also be made a minister and will bring consensus and no MP will go outside the party's decision. At present, five of the seven parliamentarians of civil liberties have become ministers.
Congress government led by Kamal Bahadur Shah needs to be supported by the RPP and independent parliamentarians even if it is supported by civil liberties to get a vote of confidence. They have been saying that if they support civil liberties, they will also support them. 18 from Congress, seven from citizens, one from RPP and one independent will reach 27 people . The support of 27 MPs will have to be gathered to form the government in the 53-member Sudurpaschim Provincial Assembly.
