The police arrested an Indian citizen on the charge of raping a 5-year-old girl.
The police have arrested 32-year-old Karan Shah, a resident of Parsa Pultoll, Khairhani Municipality-6, Chitwan, Vihar Govinangaj, Bharat Motihari District. The accused was arrested by the police on Sunday on the basis of a complaint filed by the victim's relatives saying that he had forced the girl on the 1st of Baisakh by saying that he would give her 'dew and fruit'.
On Monday, DSP Ramesh Kumar Shrestha of the District Police Office Gorkha informed that a case under the title of coercion was registered against the accused and the incident was being investigated after receiving permission from the district court to keep him in custody.
