The Rautahat police have arrested an accused in the duty killing case who has been absconding for 10 months. Police arrested 52-year-old Sheikh Nurullah of Dewahi Gonahi Municipality-1 on Sunday.

District Police Chief SP Dilip Ghimire informed that Nurullah was the main planner of the murder. "Looking at Nurullah's background, criminal tendencies were found," he said. "We have started an investigation to find out where and in which incidents are involved in the district."

The 65-year-old priest Shriram Sah of Hanuman temple in Madhavnarayan Municipality-2 Khesarhia Bazar was killed by Nurullah himself on 3rd August 2077 at 9 pm. Pujari Sah, who was eating in the temple premises, was shot dead in Devre Kanchat. Nurullah was the ward chairman at the time of the

incident. He absconded after the incident. On 22nd of July 2078, at 1 o'clock in the day, Nurullah Rautahat appeared in the district court in a dramatic manner. The single bench of the court judge Shyam Vihari Maurya released him on a bond of 200,000. The police filed a case against 7 people including local Ramnaresh Patel and Bal Kumar Patel and Nurullah in the murder of the priest.

Ram Naresh and Bal Kumar are in Gaur Jail for pre-trial detention.
