Sakela Rural Municipality is going to start teaching in 'English medium' in classes 1-3 from this academic session. This year, teaching through English medium is going to be started in five secondary schools.
Concluding that the number of students in public schools is continuously decreasing, the village education committee meeting decided to teach in English medium. The village education committee meeting presided over by Ravi Prakash Rai, chairman of Sakela Rural Municipality and village education committee coordinator, took this decision into account after taking into account the suggestions made by the teachers, management committee and parents.
'Since education is the source of prosperity, moral and practical education has been started from the infant level,' President Rai said, 'When parents are concentrating on cities and capitals under the pretext of teaching their children boarding school, after the implementation of compulsory English medium at the secondary level from this academic session, the migration process will also be minimized. This decision has been made so that it will be enough to help.'' The rural municipality itself has prepared a curriculum with moral and practical knowledge and will publish a book. President Rai said that out of 28 community schools in the village, English medium classes will be implemented in five schools from this academic session.
