As a result of the Lok Sabha elections, it has been decided that India will have a hung parliament for the next five years. Voting continues. However, the upcoming vote results clearly show that no party will get a majority in the upcoming Lok Sabha.

Hung Parliament in India: Modi's Third Prime Ministerial Journey Depends on Allies

The presence and structure of parties in the Lok Sabha is focusing on the situation of 10 years ago i.e. coalition politics .

In 1984, the Congress under the leadership of Rajiv Gandhi won the majority, 30 years later, the BJP under the leadership of Narendra Modi won the majority in 2014 . In the intervening period, no single party had a majority. In the 90s, the government was changing rapidly. However, PV Narasimha Rao of the Congress and Atal Bihari Vajpayee of the BJP ran the government for one full term each with the strength of the alliance. Manmohan Singh of Congress ran the government for 10 years from 2004 to 2014 with the support of other parties.

272 Seating is required. In 2014, BJP alone won 282 seats and in 2019, 303 seats. Although there were other parties participating in the alliance with the BJP, the BJP was in a position to run the government without their support. The current result has given a clear indication that it will change .

Based on the results of counting up to Tuesday evening, by the time this news is prepared, BJP is likely to win 240 seats . Prime Minister Narendra Modi has won the election from Varanasi seat. With him, BJP has won 69 seats and is ahead in 171 seats. BJP is trailing by 32 seats from the majority. However, since the BJP-led NDA coalition is getting a clear majority, there is still a possibility that Modi will become the Prime Minister for the third time. The NDA alliance is ahead in 294 seats.

If Modi becomes the Prime Minister again, he will become the Prime Minister after Jawaharlal Nehru for the third time in a row. Modi has already equaled Indira Gandhi and Manmoh Singh, who became Prime Minister twice in a row.

Modi is in the NDA alliance to form the government. Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal United and Chandrababu Naidu's Telugu Desam Party need mandatory support . It is seen that Nitish's party will win 15 seats and Naidu's party will win 16 seats.

The opposition coalition has performed well. Contrary to the results projected by all the exit polls, India Alliance is on the way to win 230 seats. Congress has won 33 seats and is ahead in 65 seats. Congress won 52 seats last time. Rahul Gandhi has succeeded in winning the party with double seats. Samajwadi Party in NDA is expected to win 37 seats. Trinamool Congress is likely to win 31 seats in West Bengal. Rashtriya Janata Dal is expected to win 4 seats in Bihar and Aam Aadmi Party 3 seats in Punjab.
