Who is monitoring us in the twenty-first century and how? And what is the effect of it in a country like Nepal? As part of the Kushma Art Project, a discussion was held on this topic on Saturday at the 300-year-old 'Shatabdi Ghar' of Mount Kushma.
The book 'Surveillance and Freedom in the Twenty-First Century' published in the translation/editing of author/translator Rohej Khatiwada was discussed in the program.
What is the distance between surveillance and freedom? In response to a question from journalist Deepak Sapkota, the facilitator, Khatiwada said that although both of these will move forward in parallel lines, we should continue to strive to make freedom more prosperous.
After the development of the Internet in the 21st century, the impact of the world economy and politics was discussed.
In the discussion program, Kathakuthungri group recited Yuval Noah Harari's essay 'One day we will defeat death'. Kathakuthungri has Saras, Venisha and Saurabh among others.

RK Adipta Giri, president of Kushma Art Project and activist of Kaligand's rescue campaign, said, 'For social transformation, we will continue such programs of intellectual discussion in the coming days.'
Similarly, in the second session of the program, poet Devvrat's poem was recited. He recited poems such as 'Hami', 'Kotha', 'Karnali' from his book of poetry 'Ashwatthama Ko Nidhar Matan Bagmati Bagha'.
