Heavy rains have disrupted life in the Gulf region. Due to the heavy rains in the UAE, traffic and air flights have been disrupted in major cities such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Rain has also fallen in Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia along with the UAE. Earlier, meteorologists had warned that floods could occur in Bahrain. Along with heavy rain in the UAE, there was a flood in the neighboring country of Oman. At least 18 people died due to floods in Oman
Al Jazeera reported . 9 students and the driver died when the school bus was swept away by floods in Oman. The rescuers said that they are searching for 2 missing people. Schools closed in Oman and UAE due to rain.
