Nepal's second consecutive win in Dipendra's record

Nepal, who won the toss and batted after hitting all the balls of Qatar bowler Kamran Khan's last over at Al Amerat in Muscat, scored 210 runs after losing 7 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. Dipendra, who completed his half-century in 19 balls, scored an unbeaten 64 runs in 21 balls.

He is the fifth player to hit 6 consecutive sixes in international cricket. Earlier, South Africa's Herschel Gibbs hit sixes in all 6 balls of an over in the 2007 ODI World Cup against the Netherlands at West Indies' Besterre and India's Yuvraj Singh against England in the 2007 Twenty20 World Cup. Kieran Pollard of West Indies and Jaskaran Malhotra of America also hit 6 consecutive sixes in one over.

This is the second time that Dipendra has hit 6 sixes in a row. In the 19th Asian Games held last year in Hangzhou, China, Dipendra hit 6 sixes in a row while scoring a half-century in 9 balls against Mongolia. This is the first time that Dipendra has hit 6 sixes in one over.

Dipendra hit a total of 3 fours and 7 sixes. Opener Asif Shaikh scored 52 runs off 41 balls with 6 fours. Kushal Bhurtel 12, captain Rohit Paudel 18, Kushal Mall hit 2 fours and 3 sixes in 18 balls for 35, Sandeep Zora 7 and Gulshan Jha and Vivek Yadav were dismissed for 5 runs each. Qatar's Himanshu Rathod and Musawar Shah took 3 wickets each.

In response, Qatar scored 178 runs after losing 9 wickets. Captain Mohammad Tanveer scored 63 off 33 balls with 6 fours and 4 sixes and Mohammad Anaf scored 23 runs. From Nepal, Dipendra, Lalit Rajwanshi and Gulshan took 2 each and Malla and Avinash Bohra took 1 each.

Nepal defeated Malaysia by 5 wickets in the first match on Friday.
