According to the Division Forest Office, Warahpakho Community Forest located in Beni Municipality-7 and 8, Torakhet Forest of Ward-2 and 3, Big Rani Forest, Mangala Rural Municipality-4 Aldanda Community Forest and Annapurna Rural Municipality-1 Dowa Community Forest, Ward-6 Salza only on Monday , Khop, Mahbhir, Jukepani, Bhurdung community forest has caught fire.
In Mangla Rural Municipality's Aladanda and Annapurna's Dowa and Ghar forest, the fire has not been extinguished for 5 days . According to the division forest office, more than 55 community forests of Fagunyata district have been burnt. Apart from that, there is no record of fires in the national forest and grazing areas under the Himalayas.
'Almost all the forests and adjoining forests near the settlement have been blackened by the fire . The upper grazing area also looks black," Divisional Forest Officer Chandramani Sapkota said, "The residential area of our office has been hit by fire." "Even though it is heard that hunters set fire in the Himalayan area, the locals set fire to Bhirpakha near the settlement," he said.

Dhorpatan Sikar Reserve covers 1,260 hectares, Annapurna Conservation Area (ACAP) occupies 3,753 hectares of forest area. Out of 79 thousand 439 hectares of forests under the division office, 24 thousand 2 hundred 2 hectares of 3 hundred 10 community forest users groups have been managed. There are about 5 hectares of confessional, religious and private forest. All the rest is National Forest.
The forest officer Sapkota said that staff has been assigned to understand the situation of the fire and because there is a national forest in a large area above the settlement, the control is being challenged.
