Satish Kumar Singh: From the Chairman of the Municipality to the Chief Minister of Madhesh

Singh is a permanent resident of Tilathi Koiladi rural municipality ward number 4 of Saptari. Singh was defeated as a candidate for Tilathi Koiladi rural municipality chairman in the local elections of 2007. But in August 079, he joined the Janmat Party and defeated the then Finance Minister Shailendra Prasad Sah from Saptari Constituency No. 2(1) and was elected as a member of the Provincial Assembly. In the year 052/53, while studying at Rajdevi Secondary School in Rajviraj, Singh became a member of Vidyarthi Manch, the student organization of the Sadbhavana Party. After he went to Ranchi, Jharkhand to study from 2001 to 2004, his political journey in Nepal came to a halt. ;

Before the election of the second Constituent Assembly, he joined the then Rashtriya Madhesh Samajwadi Party under the leadership of Sharatsingh Bhandari and became the district chairman. Singh became the district chairman of that party after six Madhesh-centric parties formed the Rajpa.

He was a candidate for the post of president of Tilathi Koiladi rural municipality of Saptari in the local level election of 074 from Rajpa . In that election, he was elected as the chairman of the municipality. Singh, who ruled the Tilathi Koiladi rural municipality for five years, was again a candidate for the municipality president from the RJP in the local elections of 2007.
