By winning the tiebreaker, the APF club of the departmental team of the Armed Police has entered the quarterfinals of the sixth Jhapa Gold Cup football experiment. In the opening match on Saturday, the APF secured a place in the last eight of the Gold Cup by winning the tiebreaker 4-2 over the Sankata club.

tiebreaker, Dipesh Dhimal, foreign player Fode Fofona, Kuldeep Karki and Suman Shrestha scored goals for APF. Sankata's Yaman Bahadur Putwar and Chandan Das took the direction of the goal only.
In the opening match of the Gold Cup held at the Domalal Rajvanshi Stadium in Birtamod, APF dominated Sankat right from the start. However, they could not take the direction of the post due to repeated blows. APF's goalkeeper Shrestha became the player of the match in the opening match. He received 11 thousand rupees in cash . In Sunday's match of Gold Cup, Nepal Police Club and Church Boys Club will compete.
10 teams from Nepal including the organizer Jhapa-11 will participate in the goal-dop. Binod Basnet, president of the Gold Cup, informed that the Gold Cup winning team will receive Rs 13 lakh in cash and the runner-up team will receive Rs 7 lakh in cash. According to him, this year both the winner and runner-up prizes have been increased by 50/50 thousand rupees in cash.
The best player in the Gold Cup will be awarded a motorcycle. President Basnet said that the best goalkeeper, best defender, best midfielder, best coach and highest scorer of the Gold Cup will be awarded 25,000 in cash. The Gold Cup will run till February 28.
The Jhapa Gold Cup started from 2072 could not be organized during the covid period for two years and last year. The sixth edition of the Gold Cup was inaugurated by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Devraj Ghimire. Basnet said that the cost of completing the Gold Cup is estimated at 14 million rupees.
