At 11:50 am on Saturday morning, 32-year-old Subas Regmi, currently living in Sauraha, Ratnanagar Municipality-6, was attacked by a rhinoceros when he took tourists for a tour from the elephant breeding center of Chitwan National Park to the central forest area of ​​the western region.

Regmi, who was seriously injured by a rhinoceros attack, died at Chitwan Medical College at 1:39 in the afternoon, informed Shriram Bhandari, the spokesperson of District Police Office, Chitwan. Regmi was working as a nature guide at the Jungle World Resort in Sauraha.

Information Officer of Chitwan National Park Ganesh Prasad Tiwari informed that Regmi is a licensed nature guide. He said that the tourists who went to visit the park are safe. Four elephants were used to search for Regmi, who disappeared due to a rhinoceros attack.

'Incidences of attacks on guides who show wild animals to tourists in the park are rare,' Tiwari said, 'Tragedy happened on New Year's Day.' The body of the deceased Regmi has been kept in the mortuary of Bharatpur Hospital for post-mortem.
