Agriculture and Livestock Development Minister Jwalakumari Sah has said that there is no alternative to run the Dairy Development Institute in private partnership. On Friday, in a discussion held at Singhdurbar with industrialists close to UML, Agriculture Minister Sah said that there is no alternative for the government to run the Dairy Development Institute in private partnership for a long-term solution.

We are thinking of running the Dairy Development Institute in private partnership: Agriculture Minister Shah

She informed that discussions have progressed so that the ministry will be owned by the government and run on a private partnership model. Minister Sah said that instead of operating the dairy development institute as it is now, the government wants to move forward in a new way to solve the problem in the long term.

She said, 'Middlemen have dominated the milk development institute. The institute is run by Piwan. There are 900 employees in the institute. In which 300 employees are temporary and 600 employees are permanent. It will say that permanent employees cannot be fired. Pride has increased. The Dairy Development Institute has been managed by a team of contract employees so far. There is no way to remove contract employees.'

She said that the institute should not play games with farmers or businessmen. 'Those who work hard should be encouraged. It happens when someone who is unable to exercise command of the institute surrenders. Bullying about who can do what doesn't work. In the next one month, there will be upheaval in the Dairy Development Institute. If the government has to pay something, it is ready to pay. This problem is seen in the past, not today,' she said.

Minister Sah said that it will not work for the employees to show bullying for many days. He said that bold decisions will be taken to strengthen the institute saying that they are ready to pay even if they have to pay some price.
