A bus carrying people from Bhimeshwar Nagarpalipka-1 of Dolakha met with an accident at Dharavati of Tripurasundari Rural Municipality-5 of Sindhupalchok on Friday morning, killing 3 people and seriously injuring 52 people. According to District Police Office Sindhupalchok, the bus No. Ba 4 Kha 5616, which was going from Dolakha to Piskar, fell down a hundred meters from the road.

The deceased have been identified as Manbahadu Thami, Shiv Shrestha and Dipendra Thami of Bhimeshwar Municipality-1. Due to the rain on Thursday, the bus went out of control and fell down 100 meters from the road, according to the police.

According to District Police Deputy Superintendent Niranjan Bhattarai, the injured have been rescued and are being treated at Dhulikhel Hospital and Sadabahar Hospital in Khadichaur. Out of the injured, 26 people are being treated at Sadabahar Hospital, while some are receiving first aid treatment at Tauthali Ward Office, Bhimeshwar Municipality. Mayor Ishwar Narayan Manandhar said. 8 of the injured are serious. Most of the injured are from Bhimeshwar Municipality-Suspa. Some children were also injured in the accident .

'It is difficult to rescue because the bus is in Bhir, we are busy with the immediate rescue,' he said. There were 55 people on board the public bus which went from Dolakha to Tripurasundari Gapa-4 Piskar via Tauthali to pick up the bride. Now rescue work is being done by local and security personnel.
