Elam Literary Festival will be held on the 16th and 17th of Chait. A literature festival is going to be held in Ilam under the organization of Ilam City Literature, Art, Music Institute and Ilam Literary Society.
According to Prakash Thamsuhang, the president of the institute, the festival will be inaugurated by the chancellor of Nepal Pragya Academy, Bhupal Rai. The scholarly speech will be by former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai.
Then there will be a debate between Naveena Lama, Milan Pandey and Dilliram Subedi on the title 'Federalism: Like this or how'. There will be a debate on the title of 'Poetry', the simple villager, the beautiful ugly and Sumina.
There will be a debate between Dr. Arun Gupto and Rajan Mukarung on the topic of 'Myth from myth', Narayan Dhakal and Basant Basnet on the topic of 'Narrative: Last Leaf and New Paluva', while Raja Puniani will have a presentation on 'Poetry in Movement'.
There will be a debate between Rohej Khatiwada, Dharmendra Nembang and Ranjit Tamang on the topic 'Balindo Vishwa: Varindo Locality'. There will be a debate between Suresh Portel and Chetan Angthupo on 'Charkhol's stage'.
On Chait 17, there is a prose poetry recital under the title 'Kavitata Swar'. In the poem that will be recited at this stage, Dr. Tulsi Gautam will comment. Poetry recitation under the title 'Chhand Sugandh' will also be held on this day. There will be a dialogue between Sonam Bhutia and Dipendra Karna on the topic of 'Conservation and Tourism'. There will be a debate between Suresh Kiran, Chandrakishore and Gauri Tamu on the topic of 'Matribhasha Ko Sakas'.
While Deepak Sapkota talks to Prof. Abhi Subedi on the topic of 'Age Story', there will be a debate between Keki Adhikari, Meen Bham and Rambabu Gurung on the topic of 'Cinema'.
There will be a conversation between Shailendra Adhikari, Shankar Tiwari and Tika Atreya under the title 'Akshar Moh: Akshar Yatra'. Dr. Kavita Lama, Ganesh Khanian and Deepak Lungeli will talk on the topic of 'Borders, Literature and Culture'. There will be a debate between Dr. Gyanendra Khatiwada, Vikram Hathwar (Karnataka) and Dr. Asmita Bista on the title of 'Resistance Literature'.
There will be a debate between Dr. Sike Raut, Pradeep Gyawali and Vishwaprakash Sharma on the title 'Kasto Politi'. According to the organizer, the festival will end with
ghazal evening.
