On Monday, the labor department submitted a memorandum to Labor Minister Dol Prasal Aryal stating that the travel businessmen who join the air tickets with the workers going for foreign employment have been arrested by the Labor Department without proof.
The Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Natta) has mentioned in a memorandum that 20 businessmen were terrorized by the Labor Department issuing arrest warrants based on verbal complaints without study and evidence.
'We approached the Minister of Labor after the increase in incidents of terrorizing airline ticket traders due to the lack of agents to connect with the labor,' Kumarmani Thapalia, president of NATTA, said, 'We have approached the minister to coordinate with all ministries and subordinate agencies concerned to solve the inconvenience faced by workers traveling abroad and Nepali tourists. We have also given 7 suggestions to play a role.''
Natta, which has a network of around 1100 ticket sellers, expressed interest in the work of discouraging the business environment by the members of the Natta Labor Department.
