Kankai Sporting Club has reached the semi-finals of the Jhapa Chountho Mills Gold Cup football tournament by defeating the home team TW Biratnagar by 2-1.
Kankai's Both goals were scored by Sandeep Rasaili. He was also declared the player of the match. Kankai will face APF to enter the final. Biratnagar took the initial lead in the
game through Ashish Rai's goal. In the 27th minute of the game, Ashish gave the direction of the post after hitting the feet of the Jhapali defense and rebounding in the D-box.
Kankai, who was behind by one goal in the first half, returned to the game in the 50th minute with an aggressive game in the second half. Sandeep Rasaili scored for him and tied the game. Two minutes before the end of the game, Rasaili scored a penalty to secure the team's victory.
Monday's last quarterfinal match will be between Koshi Pradesh Police Office Rani Biratnagar and defending champion Golbazar Sporting Club Golbazar.
