Defeated Kanjanjunga in the semi-finals of the host Bharaul Gold Cup

In the second quarter-final match held at Barah Kshetra 5 in Sunsari on Saturday, Neustar defeated the visiting team Kanchenjunga by 3-2 to secure a place in the semi-finals. Santosh Shrestha, Sandeep Shrestha and Nishan Limbu scored one goal in Newstar's victory. Kanchenjunga's Anish Rai and Abhishek Darji scored one goal each.

Kanchenjunga, who took a 2-goal lead in the first half, failed to maintain that lead in the second half and was forced to return home from the quarterfinals. Abhishek of Kanchanjunga scored a goal in the second minute of the game and brought his team to a 2-0 position in the 45th minute. But in the second half, host Nustar returned to the game.

Santosh returned the goal in the third minute of the second half. In the 25th minute of the second half, Sandeep scored and tied the game. Nishan scored a goal in the extra time of 3 minutes of the last half of the game and gave the host a comeback victory. Santosh Shrestha, the organizer of the match, was declared the Man of the Match and received 5,000 in cash.

Newstar will now compete in the semi-finals with the winner of the last quarterfinal match between Divisional Team Nepal Police Club Kathmandu and Birtamode Newstar Club Jhapa on Monday. In the third quarter-final on Sunday, there will be a competition between Planning Boys Union Kathmandu and Hanami B FC Chitwan. The winner of the

competition will receive a trophy with 4 lakh rupees, while the runner-up will receive a trophy with 2 lakh rupees, informed the president of the club, Veshraj Karki.
