Liverpool took a step into the quarter-finals of the Europa League on Thursday. Liverpool defeated Spartak Prague 5-1 in the first leg of the last 16. In the next match, Roma easily defeated Brighton 4-0. Xavi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen held Qarabag to a 2-2 draw from two goals down to maintain their unbeaten run.
Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool are on course to win four titles this season and the win now shows they are ready for Sunday's Premier League game against Manchester City. Darwin Nunez scored two goals for him in the match in Prague. Similarly, Alex McAllister, Mohamed Salah and Dominic Sobozlai scored one goal each.
In other matches on Thursday, AC Milan defeated Slavia Prague 4-2, Marseille defeated Villarreal 4-0 and Freiburg defeated West Ham 1-0. Similarly, Benfica and Rangers drew 2-2.
