Kapilvastu municipality-3, one person died in a motorcycle accident at around 9.30 am on Saturday morning near Mahita Chowk. One person was injured.
The District Police Office informed that 23-year-old Kumar Tharu of Gadwa, Sainamaina Municipality-5 of Rupandehi met with a motorcycle accident while coming from Jitpur to Taulihwa.
He was sitting behind the motorcycle . District Police Spokesperson DSP Hari Bahadur Oli said that he died in the afternoon while being treated at Kapilvastu Hospital in Taulihwa.
Similarly, 38-year-old Nirkumar Tharu of Gadwa village, a motorcyclist, was seriously injured. As he could not be treated at Kapilvastu Hospital, he was sent to Universal Medical College, Bhairawa for further treatment, police said.
The police said that the speeding motorcycle went out of control and crashed. It is said that both of them are workers in the brick industry.
