From Sichilung, which is at an altitude of 4,155 meters, you can see Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Kumbhakarna, Merapik Himal and other glaciers, Terai gorges and various rivers. Silichung is the tallest among the Temke, Maiyung, Laure, Chilimdhunga, etc. At Salpapokhari located at the foot of Silichung, there is a tradition of worshiping with the belief that wishes will be fulfilled.

A fair is held in Salpapokhari on Purnima in the months of Baisakh, August, Katik and February. Pilgrims come here from various districts including Khotang, Bhojpur, Safvuasabha, Dhankuta, Solukhumbu. There are religious folk beliefs such as that those who do not break their speech can speak when worshiping in Salpapokhari, those who do not have children will get children, Dhami and Jhankri will get Mundumi Shakti etc.

The bowl-shaped Salpapokhari is located at a height of 3,672 meters above sea level. Edmond Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, who climbed Mt Everest for the first time, used the Salpapokhari route. Among the hundred destinations of Nepal, the Mundum Trail is included. Homestays, cottages, etc. have started to expand in this area. In this area, one can observe attractive sights such as large grasslands, chaurikhark, bhodichok, horse riding.

In addition to this, the study and research sub-committee member Bhadragol Kirati said that the myths related to Salpasilichung will be researched and preserved. For the all-round development of Salpa-Silichung, a sub-committee consisting of Chancellor of Nepal Academy of Fine Arts Naradamani Hartamchhali, Bhogiraj Chamling, Taramani Rai, Shalik Shatasak Rai, Kamaljung Rai, Chandra Hatuvali, Bhadragol Kirati etc. has been formed to investigate myths.
