The 16th meeting of Nepal-China Diplomatic Consultation Mechanism has started from 10:30 am today. Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amrit Bahadur Rai informed that in a meeting held at a hotel in Kathmandu, bilateral relations between Nepal and China and the overall area of cooperation are being discussed.
It is said that the meeting will discuss the exchange of cooperation in the fields of education, health infrastructure, agriculture, economic cooperation, trade, investment, tourism, communication network etc.
In the meeting of the consultative mechanism, Foreign Secretary Seva Lamsal led the delegation from Nepal, while senior officials from various ministries are included in the delegation. Likewise, the Chinese delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Sun Weitong. Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Sun arrived here on Sunday morning for a three-day official visit to Nepal to participate in the
meeting. During the visit, he is scheduled to hold separate courtesy meetings with President Ramchandra Paudel and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. The Deputy Foreign Minister will depart from Kathmandu tomorrow on June 12 after completing his gold tour.
