Congress leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula has said that Congress is forced to go to the streets as the Dahal-led government has launched an attack on the media with the intention of capturing the entire state power.
"The arrest of Sirohia is serious, malicious, not only that, it is also an initial attack on democracy and complete freedom. The government is trying to shut down the entire mouth of the press. It has tried to reveal the omnipotent authoritarian character. It is trying to attack the very essence of the constitution by occupying the entire state. This should not be taken as a simple arrest of Sirohia," said Sitaula. "We have come to the decision that we should take it as a well-planned conspiracy against democracy and reach the people in the same way."
