Madhesh State Assembly meeting blocked by Janmat Party

As soon as the meeting of the state assembly started on Tuesday, MPs including Chandan Singh, who is also the general secretary of the Janmaat Party, stood up and took a stand that the meeting would not be allowed to proceed if the chief minister did not respond. Saying that it is not good to always block the Parliament on ordinary issues, when Speaker Ramchandra Mandal tried to advance the proceedings of the Parliament, the MPs surrounded Rostam and shouted slogans against the Chief Minister .

In the meeting, the Speaker Mandal allowed Sports and Social Welfare Minister Surita Kumari Sah to submit a proposal to amend the Provincial Child Rights Act 2077.

The state assembly meeting has been adjourned for 10 minutes after Janmaat party MPs shouted slogans against the government and the chief minister while going to Shah Rostam. Madhesh Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav took a vote of confidence in the provincial assembly on February 6, but MPs of the public opinion blocked the meeting.

The Chief Minister received a vote of confidence from the Provincial Assembly after it was agreed that the Chief Minister would respond to the matter in Parliament and form a parliamentary committee to investigate the incident.

When JSP President Upendra Yadav laid the foundation stone for the building of Agricultural University in Saptari, MPs of Madhesh province, including Mahesh Yadav, who is the Minister of Education in Madhesh Province, were injured in the beating.
