Nepal Police has arrested 4 people including the president of Laliguras Cooperative Society and released them. On Sunday, Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office held a press conference in Kathmandu and arrested 4 people including the president of Laliguras Cooperative Society on the charge of defrauding the savings of depositors.
Speaking at a press conference, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sanuram Bhattarai, head of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, informed that four other people including the chairman of the organization were arrested from Kathmandu on the charge of defrauding the depositors by embezzling the deposits of the Laliguraas Cooperative Society in Lalitpur with the hope of giving attractive interest to the general public .
Among those arrested are Amardas Shrestha, chairman of Lali Gurans Cooperative, Surendra Bhandari, executive officer of the cooperative, Amrit Kumar Aryal, treasurer of the cooperative, and Kadambaba Joshi Pradhan, managing member of the cooperative.
