The meeting of the working group formed to finalize the mandate of the parliamentary committee to be formed to investigate the misappropriation of cooperative funds is being held today. The meeting will be held today at 3 pm at the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.
In today's meeting, it is said that a draft will be presented on the issues demanded by the Congress from the ruling party and if the Congress agrees on it, the mandate will be finalized. If the agreement cannot be reached, the mandate will not be finalized. The
task force consists of Law Minister Padam Giri on behalf of the government and Chief Whip Mahesh Bertaula on behalf of CPN-UML, Congress Joint Minister Jeevan Periyar and Rashtriya Swatantra Party MP Shishir Khanal.
Congress has mentioned the name of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane and has been maintaining a position that the parliamentary committee should investigate the cooperatives that the Home Minister has been involved in.
